The Launex™ Dementia Carer Specialist (LDCS) Pathway for Independent Carers is a structured, nine-week, live online training programme created for private and self-employed carers working in real home environments.
This pathway moves beyond task-based care training. It develops deep understanding of dementia, behaviour, emotional communication, and person-led decision-making, enabling carers to respond with clarity, confidence, and professional judgement.
Training is delivered live in small groups, allowing space for reflection, discussion, and practical application. Assessment is based on understanding and insight rather than workplace observation, agency employment, or external supervision.
Successful completion awards the professional designation Launex™ Dementia Carer Specialist (LDCS).
