Dementia Care & Understanding: A Family Pathway Course – Self-Study + Live
This course is designed for family members and loved ones supporting someone living with dementia who want clear understanding, structured guidance, and practical confidence — not just information fragments — with self-study for the earlier phases and live training from Phase 5 onwards.
The course follows a structured educational pathway that teaches families what dementia is, how it affects the brain, behaviour, communication, and relationships, and how to navigate the journey ahead with informed, compassionate decision-making.
This course is delivered as a structured combination of independent self-study for the earlier phases, followed by live training sessions from Phase 5 onwards. The live sessions focus specifically on the Launex Dementia Brain Map™ and the core understanding frameworks used throughout the pathway, where explanation, interpretation, and guided clarity matter most.
What this course provides:
- Structured understanding of dementia and cognitive change
- Practical insight into behaviours, communication, and emotional responses
- Clarity around diagnosis pathways, care decisions, and next steps
- Structured learning that builds confidence over time
- Self-Study (Phases 1–4) with Live Training from Phase 5 onwards
Certification:
A Launex Certificate of Completion is issued only on completion of all required pathway assessments. Access to live teaching alone does not confer certification.
What this course is not:
This course is not therapy, counselling, or coaching.
It does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.
