Family Pathway – Coaching – Block 9
This coaching block includes nine individual Family Pathway coaching sessions, created for people completing the Dementia Care & Understanding: A Family Pathway course who require extended emotional and relational support over time.
Block 9 is intended for situations where dementia has a deep, ongoing impact on personal wellbeing, family dynamics, identity, and emotional capacity — and where sustained support is needed alongside the course.
Family Pathway Coaching exists for the human and relational residue dementia leaves behind. This includes prolonged emotional strain, cumulative grief, changing family roles, decision fatigue, internal conflict, and the slow erosion of certainty that can occur as dementia progresses.
This coaching may support you with:
- Long-term emotional load and burnout risk
- Repeated or entrenched family conflict
- Ongoing grief, loss, and adjustment
- Identity changes and role transitions within the family
- Strengthening emotional resilience over time
- Maintaining steadiness while continuing structured learning
What this coaching is not
Family Pathway Coaching does not:
- Teach or repeat course content
- Explain neurological or behavioural frameworks
- Replace Family Pathway training
- Provide medical, legal, or financial advice
- Function as therapy or crisis intervention
It is structured coaching support focused on emotional processing, reflection, and long-term stabilisation alongside the course.
