Launex™ Dementia Training Courses
Clear, Structured Dementia Training You Can Trust
Launex™ delivers dementia training that is practical, easy to understand, and grounded in real-life dementia experience.
Our approach begins with understanding.
When you have clarity about the type of dementia, how it influences daily living, its progression, the person’s changing needs and behaviours, you gain the confidence to move through the journey with supportive purpose.
We teach person-led responding — interactions that strengthen trust, reduce distress, and uphold quality of life through dignity, autonomy, and respect.
Every programme builds your confidence to engage with people living with dementia thoughtfully and with clarity of intention.
Launex™ Dementia Training Courses Options
Dementia Care & Understanding: A Family Pathway
A clear, guided programme that teaches the safe care foundations, what dementia is, the different types and their progression, how dementia affects daily life, and behaviour understanding through the Launex Dementia Brain Map™ framework.
It gives families the clarity and confidence to support someone with dementia at home with dignity, connection, and reassurance — from the first signs to end-of-life and beyond.

Dementia Care & Understanding: Launex™ Dementia Carer Specialist (LDCS) Pathway
Dementia care is evolving. The sector can no longer rely on task-based support or generic care roles to meet the needs of people living with dementia. Home-based care is increasing across the UK, care hours commissioned in the community are rising year-on-year, and families are becoming more informed and selective about the quality of dementia support they expect.
This pathway is designed for independent (private) carers, agency carers, and care-home carers who want to work at a higher standard of insight, communication, and person-led practice.
You will learn what dementia is, the different types in greater depth, how progression shapes daily functioning, and how to interpret behaviours through the Launex Brain Map™ framework.
You also develop foundations in phase-appropriate care needs, dementia emotional intelligence, professional communication, and person-led responding — skills that protect dignity, reduce distress, strengthen trust, and elevate the standard of dementia support delivered in both community and residential settings.
This pathway strengthens the competence of carers who already hold — or are working toward — their Care Certificate, enabling them to progress to Launex™ Dementia Carer Specialist level and deliver safe, dignified dementia support in both home and residential settings.
Upon completion, carers are awarded the Launex Certified Dementia Carer Specialist certification.
Both pathways provide structured learning, practical guidance, and clear progression.
Assessment
Each pathway includes structured module assessments designed to ensure understanding and practical application of the material.
Assessments are short, reflective, and directly linked to the real-life dementia situations covered in the course.
Certification
Launex™ issues a Certificate of Completion for pathway options that include assessment.
Certificates are awarded once all required module assessments are submitted and demonstrate the learner’s understanding of the pathway.
Every certificate is individually issued by LAUNEX LTD, includes a unique verification number, and reflects achievement in dementia understanding, person-led responding, and safe, supportive dementia practice.
